Here are some example pre-made spells you can use in play! These all use Tier-1 runes.
Sample spells
Shape (Earth) Range (Earth) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : The caster raises the ground at their feet. Up to 10lbs of earth or stone below the caster raises from the level of the ground. A small or medium sized character can stand on the lifted earth easily, although larger creatures will need to roll balance checks. If the spell is maintained, the earth travels with the caster. If the caster has the Earthward feat, they gain a +1 bonus to AC and saves as long as the spell is active. |
Shape (Fire) Range (Motion) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : The caster creates a burst of flame in a 5' cube within 10'. Any creature or object in the area takes 1d6 fire damage and must pass a Reflex save against the caster's spellcasting Save DC or catch on fire. If the caster has the Firestrike feat, the square is also full of thick smoke that provides concealment to creatures and objects within the square. Any character caught within the burst must also pass a Fortitude save against the caster's spellcasting Save DC or spend their turn coughing and choking. A character who spends two rounds choking takes 1d6 nonlethal damage. |

Shape (Motion) Range (Fire) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect :The Caster uses stoneshaping to shape up to 10lbs worth of a specific rock - for example pyrite or basalt - present in a 10' cone from a point they touch. They can cause the chosen rock to rise to the surface or ball up into an orb, cone or other shape. This spell cannot shape minerals that are not present already in the target area for obvious reasons. |
Shape (Wind) Range (Motion) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : The caster points at the target, generating a beam of fire 5' wide and 10' long that hits everything in its path for 1d6 Fire damage. Creatures affected must pass a Reflex save against the caster's spellcasting Save DC or catch on fire. |
Shape (Gravity) Range (Motion) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect :The Caster creates a powerful downdraft over the target. The downdraft moves at up to 20 mph, reducing the effective temperature by half a degree per mile per hour and potentially moving any objects or creatures light enough, scattering them around the area or pushing them out of it. |
Shape (Water) Range (Fire) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Feat: Stagnation Effect : The touched character must pass a DC20 Fortitude save or, after 1 minute, begin taking 1d6 Constitution damage a round for six rounds. Each round, the character may save against the Constitution damage, negating it for that round. If the character passes two saves against the Constitution damage, the effect ends immediately. |
Shape (Motion) Range (Fire) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : The Caster reshapes earth or stone in a 10' cone from a point they touch when they cast the spell. They can make the stone emulate caltrops or rough terrain, or create a specific shape out of material up to 10lbs in weight. |
Shape (Motion) Range (Fire) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : The Caster creates a cone of flames from their hands. Fire appears in a 10' cone adjacent to the caster, dealing 1d6 fire damage to any creatures or objects in the area. Any creature or object taking damage from this spell must make a Reflex save against the caster's spellcasting Save DC or catch on fire. |
Shape (Earth) Range (Motion) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : The caster creates a rising wind of up to 20mph under the target square within 10' of the caster. The effective temperature in the area is reduced by half a degree per mph, and light enough objects may be lifted into the air. |
Shape (Wind) Range (Motion) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : The caster gestures at the target, generating a wave of water 5' wide and 10' long that hits everything in its path, getting it wet. Any characters who breathe must make a Reflex save against the caster's spellcasting Save DC or become Dazed for 1 round. If the spell is maintained, they must spend a Move action to make a DC15 Swim check in order to move out of the path of the spell or begin drowning. |
Shape (Wind) Range (Motion) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : The caster gestures, designating an oblong 5' wide and 10' long in which up to 10lbs of earth or stone can be shaped or manipulated. If the caster chooses, the 10lbs can be detached from the ground and launched as an attack, dealing 1d6 damage on a successful attack roll. |
Shape (Gravity) Range (Motion) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : The caster creates a sheet of flame above the target 5' square which then falls to the ground. The flame must appear within 10' of the caster. Everything under the flame takes 1d6 Fire damage, and must pass a Reflex save or catch on fire. |

Shape (Gravity) Range (Motion) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : Gravity in the target area increases, causing all objects' weights to increase by 30 lbs, including characters, equipment worn by them, and any unattended or falling objects. Falling objects count as a size category larger for every 30 lbs of weight added by this spell. |
Shape (Wind) Range (Motion) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : The spell lifts small objects in a 1.' line and hurls them forwards at speed. Up to 10 lbs worth of small objects and detritus strike all creatures and objects in the spell's area of effect, dealing 1d6 nonlethal damage. |
Shape (Fire) Range (Motion) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : The target character and their equipment weigh 30 lbs less per item. Unwilling targets require a ranged touch attack to strike. The character gains a +3 bonus to Jump checks. A character whose weight is reduced to zero is treated as being in a zero gravity area. A character whose weight is reduced to a negative number does not begin to fall upwards, however. |

Shape (Gravity) Range (Motion) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : The caster makes a Ranged Touch Attack against an enemy character. All of that character's equipment weights 30 lbs more than it normally does. This may cause Encumberance penalties. If the effect is Sustained, it moves with the character... should they retain the ability to move at all. A character whose clothes weigh more than their maximum load limit may start to suffocate on a failed Fortitude save each round. |

Shape (Water) Range (Earth) Cost : 3 CP Spellcraft DC : 14 Effect : An orb of telekinetic force forms around the caster and pulses outwards, throwing small objects and gasses away from them. Animate objects and creatures weighing less than 10 lbs may make a Reflex save to grab onto the caster and avoid being effected. Creatures weighing more than 10 lbs are unaffected. If the spell is maintained, ranged attacks involving projectiles weighing less than 10 lbs treat the target as having Concealment. |
