Character Classes > Modified Classes
Modified homebrew classes "override" the standard classes because of the different spellcasting mechanics. There are three : the Inquisitor, the Wizard and the Sorcerer. Click on each link below to read each entry.
- The Inquisitor is a determined religious fighter. The Inquisitor works directly for the Chantry and seeks to track infidels and heretics...but their tracking skills can come in handy in many other situations, depending on the Inquisitor's own morals.
- The Spirit Thief is a master of the Growth rune who charges into battle with the intent of rebalancing the odds. They steal their opponents' strength and redistribute it back to themselves and their allies. Because they are so attuned to the balance of the world, they often make friends with animal companions.
- The Sorcerer, whether a High-Mane Ton'keena or a Kitsune (see Races) is a magic user to whom magic is, well, quite inherent to their nature. They do not use any runes; instead they can conjure runic spells simply by picturing said rune in their minds. Sorcerers have been hunted down or praised at various times, but as CHA-based magic users go, they're very powerful at what they do.
- The Wizard is a rune magic user. Wizards traditionally study hard in both runecasting and spellcrafting in general. While only the highest leveled Wizards can draw scrolls of untold power, every Wizard relies on runic combos to achieve great skills in and out of battle. Due to the combinatory nature of the magic system, they have many uses which really depend on their own creativity. Who needs to unlock wooden doors when you can burn them down!
